How did the plan for a decor shop came about?

When I moved to Bangalore, it was a life changing, I found myself with a 2bhk apartment, with two small balconies and a beautiful view. Well if you compare it my previous dwelling, an 1RK with hardly any space, this was nothing short of heaven.

I had my plans ready instantaneously on turning this place into my first dream home, filled with very colorful, art influenced and cute little things. But with limited budget, it did not seem like an easy task. Also, many a times, I would not find things which I could do to my rented apartment easily. Nothing was renter friendly! ....So I started with my little DIYs and eventually converted them into small products. That was the inception of the Cute estate.

Why the name "The Cute Estate "?

While thinking about starting a decor shop, I planned it being filled with all the cute things, just like I wanted my tiny little house to be. I planned it to be a home of all things cute, infact, a place bigger than a home..... a sanctuary....err....a bit more personal, and then it stuck me ...'The Cute Estate'..Estate because takes us to the sweeter times of the past...estate because, its grander than a humble home, but not so huge than a sanctaury, just the perfect size :)
